As Told by You – Saved by the Helmet

Two weeks into the school year, and just after Rosh Hashana, I was riding my bike to school one morning. Before this morning, I would pass my living room, where my helmet would sit still in its box. So just like all the days before, I left my house. But for some funny reason, I turned back about 30 seconds later and went to get my helmet. Three blocks into my ride, there were two women walking in my path, so I attempted to ride…

Mommy Confession

It somehow happens on those days in between winter and spring, when I dress my children in assorted types of clothing…suited for two different seasons. Of course, I notice this after the fact, when they’re already dressed and ready to head out! Short sleeved T paired with corduroy pants…standing next to a sweater with thin leggings… Hmmm…there must be a glitch in the system. I’ll have to tend to that one of these days! Do I stand alone? Comment if you know the feeling!  …

A World without Movies…

I had a thought. Just bare with me as I try to explain my daydream. I wonder, what would the world do if there were suddenly no more movies? Can you even imagine? Well, I tried to imagine how things would turn out… Here goes…leave a comment with your thoughts! I’d love to know what you think! 1. The world would be bored. That was my initial take on the matter. What would we all do?! Gosh, no lazy night entertainment… Also to be said,…

Mommy Confession

If you have young kids, you’ll know EXACTLY what I mean when I say I love bedtime! (Kids’ bedtime that is…) I do so love my kids. Very much. But, I also love when they’re pleasantly sleeping, tucked away for the night. I can’t help it! Bedtime for my kids is something I look forward to as the noon hours creep by and cranky hour rolls in. After my kids have two stories read to them and are tucked in nice and cozy, I quietly go…

As Told by You

I was driving in the car with my kids, and I hear my four-year-old son say from the back, “Mommy, my head is hurting.” So I asked, “Why?” He answered, “Maybe I ate too much healthy food…” Where did he get that from? I hope not me lol! 🙂 As told by: Reader J. The Matza Crunch

So I’m not sure how I got to thinking about this. I guess it started when I asked my manicurist if she has ever tasted matza (ask me how that moment went!) Or maybe it’s because I’ve been consumed with matza. Either way, I had this realization that every year, as we enter Pesah, I hear a lot about the ‘oh joys’ of eating matzo for the next eight days… I too have this attitude actually. I’m certainly no better 🙂 It is very true…

As Told by You

Last year during Hol Hamoed Pesah, my husband and I were setting up our chocolate fondue dipper. As my husband unwrapped the chocolate, he happened to look at the wrapping and was carefully reading the hebrew lettering on the kosher symbol. (I’m not sure why he decided to do that, but I’m sure glad he did!) He noticed that it said “Lo Kasher L’Pesach” …which means “NOT kosher for Passover”! It was so tricky!! Especially since the packaging looks identical to the Passover chocolates. We…
